We are commited to making your life easier, safer and more comfortable. We provide completely custom analysis of your living arrangements, and itemized recommendations on modifications that will improve your life.
Full Home Assessment
Our trained staff visit the home, interview the clients, review safety and accessibility needs inside and outside the home, and prepare a detailed and actionable report within 3-5 working business days.
Half Home Assessment
If the need is limited to a few rooms (e.g. bedroom, bathroom and exterior entryway) we can interview the client, review the rooms in need, and prepare a detailed report on those areas within 3-5 working business days.
Flat Fee Rates
We charge a flat fee for our services, which is negotiated based on the size and complexity of the residence.
Typical Full Home: $285-400
Typical Half Home: $155-270
Ranges provided to give you an idea of typical cost, but are not binding.
Travel: Homes outside of our service area incur a mileage cost of $0.70/mile (full trip).
Service Area
Our service area ranges from Port Charlotte/N. Port in the north, includes all of Lee County, and south to Naples.
Locations north of mid-Charlotte County, south of mid-Collier County, or East of Charlotte/Lee/Collier counties will include a mileage fee from Fort Myers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Age at Home, LLC implement, contract or supervise the recommended modifications?
No. Age at Home, LLC does not physically make any modifications to your home. We provide expert analysis with actionable recommendations so you can prioritize and implement the modifications at your pace and choice of provider. We will provide recommendations for vendors if you wish.
Can my family member, Power of Attorney, or other person be involved in the process?
We encourage you to invite anyone you want involved to the assessment. We work quickly, so input must be made before or at the meeting. Our agreement is between Age at Home LLC and the client, so after the meeting, all business will be conducted directly with the client.
What if my circumstances or abilities change?
Your needs change as your abilities change and we will come back out to reassess as needed.
Why don’t you list your prices on the website?
Because the size and potential variations in properties makes a huge difference in the time needed to evaluate all safety and accessibility needs, we provide custom quotes for residences based upon quantity of rooms, types of entrances, outbuildings, and other details.
Will I know the price before-hand?
Absolutely! Our pricing is agreed upon before-hand based on your description of the property. If we arrive and the home is nowhere close to the description, we will discuss any additional cost that could occur.
Do I have any say about the modifications?
It is our goal to provide a solution customized not just for your needs, but your priorities and daily habits. We always take into account the needs of all people that reside in the home, because why recommend a solution that you don’t like or won’t implement? And of course, all changes are yours to make.
Will it cost extra if I am outside of Lee County?
Our service area ranges from mid-Charlotte County (North Port) south to mid-Collier County (Naples) along the coast. (Anything within 20 miles of our central Fort Myers starting point.)
Locations outside that area will be quoted a mileage charge before the visit, as part of your quote. Any mileage fee will be disclosed beforehand.
What kinds of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, checks*, VISA/MasterCard/Discover*, Zelle.
*There is a $30 return check fee and a 3% credit card processing fee. We do not accept American Express.
Does insurance cover your services?
We do not file insurance claims for our services. However, we provide detailed receipts and you can check with your insurance provider to see if the cost is covered by your policy. Medicare typically does not cover these kinds of services.
Do I get a printed report? Does it include enough information for a contractor to use?
Our reports are provided by email within days. Any construction-related recommendations include measurements, recommended brands and all the information a contractor would need to implement the solution. Age at Home staff are available to work directly with your chosen contractor for an additional fee for time.
Reports include product referrals and sources. As always, the ultimate brand choice is up to you, and we provide options when available.
