Our Expertise
Our team is comprised of licensed and certified Occupational Therapy specialists, who have a broad range of knowledge about the newest and most appropriate solutions to everyday and unusual mobility and functional challenges.
Age at Home, LLC is owned and operated by Alisha Howard, MOTR/L, CAPS, ECHM; an Occupational Therapist licensed by the State of Florida and Registered by passing the certification exam by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Howard is a licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Aging in Place Specialist with advanced training in home modifications and safety. She holds a micro-credential from FGCU as a Senior Care Partner.
Alisha’s passion for helping individuals live independently and confidently in their own homes, blends her clinical expertise with specialized knowledge in aging-in-place solutions. She is certified in home safety evaluations, environmental modifications, and fall prevention strategies which ensures that each client receives personalized recommendations tailored to their lifestyle and needs.
Her mission is to remove barriers within the home environment—whether through simple adaptations or complex modifications—so that people of all ages and abilities can “Age at Home” Alisha empowers her clients to maintain independence, safety, and quality of life at HOME!
Howard earned a Masters in Occupational Therapy and is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS); a specialization offered by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in partnership with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and AARP.
Howard also holds an Executive Certificate in Home Modification from the University of Southern California, a deeper specialization in the field of home modifications focusing on the complexities of modifying home environments for elderly or disabled individuals.
